Join us every first Wednesday of the month, 6pm - 8pm. Everyone is welcome and it’s totally free. There’s no fancy gear talk, only a supportive space to share your work or ideas, receive constructive feedback or just pop along to meet other photo enthusiasts.

An exhibition of new work created during the ‘Cornwall Community Darkroom Winter Residency’ 2022
Tom developed sculptural and photographic work inspired by human induced change on the local Cornish landscape, both past and present. The structures at Geevor Tin Mine triggered a tangent exploration of unintentional sculptures, often found in the industrial landscapes he spends time in.

Celebrating Apple Day at the St Ives Community Orchard we took sustainable darkroom practices out into the community.

Inviting families to forage for blackberries and a 'mushing' stick used to coat paper and make 'Anthotypes' AKA Blackberry sun prints!

We took the darkroom outside and used light sensitive paper and foraged objects to create 'Chemigrams'...

The chemigrams were developed by painting on a coffee based developer 'caffenol' and fixed with salt water. A fully natural outdoor darkroom process!
