The CCD Summer Residency is a creative retreat shaped by you. Set in the Cornish countryside surrounded by the buzz and abundance of nature. Find inspiration along coastal paths, hidden beaches and ancient sites alongside a community of artists and makers.

The residency is suitable for one or two people and includes use of all equipment, 24-hour access to the darkroom, weekly mentoring sessions and guidance, up to 4 x one-to-one workshops to learn sustainable processes and use of some materials. You’ll be given the time and space to work independently as well as the opportunity to share your creative outcomes through talks, socials and exhibition and events programmes locally. 

Time:

1month - 3months between June - 1 September

Cost:

£700 x 1 month  

£650 per month x 2 months. Total £1300   

£600 per month x 3 months. Total £1800 

3 - 12month payment plan available.

This is a non-for-profit programme, and costs cover rent, amenities and administration, we therefore encourage a longer-term Residency to reduce admin and time costs and to create a better supported offer.

For people applying outside of Cornwall or the UK, we can support you in finding affordable local accommodation, transportation, childcare and any other support you might need can also be arranged.  

The CCD Winter Residency provides longer term focused time. Enjoy the peaceful, restorative, isolation of Cornish winter that allows you space to immerse yourself in your creative practice. Surrounded by quiet, wild landscapes, this is the ideal place to find both focus and inspiration.
